Thankful

Since moving back to DC a few years ago, Thanksgiving has become the holiday I look look forward to most. We always combine forces with my sister and brother-in-law who live next door, and we invite  any other family members who want to jump in. This year was as close to perfect as I could have imagined. I'm grateful for so many things, especially the growing list of Thanksgiving traditions...

Like a nice long table in the living room....
full of family....
preceded by Thanksgiving mass, then a light soup lunch...

mixed in with a lot of kids and a bit of lounging....

in preparation for an epic soccer game (blue first-borns vs. red second-borns, with all the subsequents divided up....

Naturally seconds dominated! (with these stretching skills, how could we not?)....

Including special new guests (Johnny, you fit right in!)

followed by a post dinner talent show...
that sometimes gets out of hand...

followed by dessert....
and all pulled off by two awesome husbands who look pretty cute in aprons :)
God is so good!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!!

  2. Looks absolutely perfect! It's so neat how God grants us those special moments in time to reflect, and have the opportunity to give thanks, where thanks is due!
